Glad it's getting some play time! Is that where two of those tuners went?

Pretty accurate article. My 21 yo daughter recently told me she seriously wants to get back into bass. She pretty much put it aside 3-4 years ago. She is now is possession of my Les Paul.  :)

OMG, how petty, Burton and Randy should found a supergroup with John Fogerty and call themselves Nasty Old Men.

Seriously. It's sad and funny at the same time seeing all these old classic rock guys turn into bickering old hens.

A couple of years ago, my band Nomadic Horizon had a nasty falling out with our guitarist, who wrote about half the music. I got more than one unhinged email stating that we are forbidden to perform or rehearse anything he had a hand in writing. What a joke! I did honor his request for the most part, but there are two songs that I wasn't willing to throw away.

You had very tame tastes then, Tom, tsk, tsk, tsk ...  :-X

Linda, Debbie Harry, Stevie Nicks, and Ann Wilson were the ones.  :-*

Let's just say I definitely heard of Linda Ronstadt.  Emmylou is absolutely gorgeous, but I wasn't really aware of her when I was crushing on female singers around age 14.

Not the Sheriff, but four talented guys from Nottingham ...

Geez, takes me back to 4th grade. I didn't know these guys also did Billy, Don't Be a Hero. 70s gold...

I didn't realize they didn't do the black on the 64s. Looks much better!

Brought the 'bird to rehearsal yesterday, and it performed nicely. The pickups have a strong output and seem to have more low end than TB+. I thought they looked like they were positioned differently than an actual vintage 'bird, so I decided to take some measurements and compare to George's old non-rev pickup spacing photo from way back (I based my Fenderbird pickup spacing on that). The neck pickup is 1/4'' closer to the bridge, and the bridge pickup is 5/8'' closer to the bridge.

For the Who tribute, I still like my Alembic and P Bass best, but this guy will make some appearances here and there.

I really need to plug into one of these some day.  ;D

Coke leaves a durable mark on your health, it's not like heroin where your fine going forward once you kick it for good (and have survived it that long).

A couple that my wife and I used to be very close with were big blow-heads. They eventually divorced. 20+ years later, they both suffered strokes within months of each other. I have to wonder if the marching powder had something to do with it?

Link was messed up. Here it is. Sounds good. Never heard of these guys. Gramm was a helluva singer.

Yeah, I didn't think it was that much money either. But from what I know, they sold half their publishing (I think it was publishing) to Japanese investors in the 90s. I think they're probably doing OK on cash.

Wow, I didn't knew you play the harp... :D

;D ;D I bought it in 2019 as a backup for my 5 string when I started playing in a Peter Gabriel tribute band. I was super impressed with it and ended up using it as my main bass for several gigs. The high C was nice for some of the Stick parts, but not really required. I have since moved over to a Who tribute, so it's time to say so long.
