I hate buying new basses but I bit the bullet and pre-ordered one. Hopefully it lives up to my expectations.

I had to laugh at seeing the Budweiser guitar in there.

Its nice to see someone finally recognize the musical genius of Rudy Sarzo's work. Usually people just focus on him touring for records he didn't play on and licking his bass.  ;D

Went through that a few years ago, the laptop never left my office.  My current company has taken the next leap and moved everything to "the cloud" (I hate that phrase).  Their rational is then we can be forced to access all files at any time no matter where we are.

But how do I put leather and studs on a cloud?

This has been posted before but thought it was worth a repost for singer Chuck Mosley - RIP

Color me intrigued,  ???  they may have a winner with this one.  Seems like a (somewhat at least) faithfull update of the Old RD Artist.   I look forward to hearing how it sounds.

It's a good question, but I've never actually seen one it person but have seen it a few times come up on other forums. I recall one example where the back spine of the bridge actually cracked ope on the A and D strings as it pulled up.  It looks like in your picture there are actually washers placed under the ball ends that may cover this up.  I suppose it could just come down to thickness of the metal accross the bottom and back spine.  If you google 3 point Vantage bass you'll actually see some more expamples.

I didnt even bother to look at the 2018 EB until now, You're right that Black on Black is the nicest looking one they've made.  I never would have considered the natural or sunburst one but the black is actually tempting.

Wow, that turned out great Denis!  It's always nice to see a bass rescued from a horrible fate like that.

My opinion of 3 points is well documented, BEST bridge ever built!

But actually the cheap 3-points knock-offs Vantage installed were known to do that.  Similar to Rickenbacker tail-lift they just slowly bend up from string tension over time.

A little pricey but I like the B/W binding on Jetglo.

Because there is nothing inherently wrong with them (ignore the naysayers in this forum!), if you like a beefy bass sound that still gets heard look (and hear) no further. The Jim DeCola pups were more versatile and offered better transparency without ever sounding sterile (and I really love the TBird model equipped with them), but let's face it, nobody buys a TBird to sound versatile. It's a bass bought mainly for its visual appeal and its heritage, plus that not every Joes Blow plays one, and it's supposed to deliver a rock sound, period.

I actually preferred the sound of the TB+ to the DeCola, that and the musicman magnets looked out of place.  Although my wife says I'm just change averse.

As long as they dont stick Jazz bass pickups in it like they Krist Novoselic I might be interested, that just drove me nuts.
