Ugh, you and the grey hairs showing up don't have to remind me  :P

Also these are round core vs hex core Pilgrim. The whole idea of a flatwound string with a round core makes me nervous thinking that the outer wraps will have nothing to bite on to keep them from falling apart.

I'll share the vid. Sorry for your loss. Stay strong bro.

I have only bought used or vintage for the last 20 years but did make an exception for a custom build which is nearing completion.

Bob's the best and his tone is great on that Mother's Army tune, but why are the guys from Phish singing on it?

This is the music I'm going to play on my bass boat's stereo when I'm water skiing with some honeys on the river. There will be a cooler full of silver bullets and I'll wear a cut off mesh football jersey and have a mullet!

I look at Fender basses the way a Hell's Angel looks at Harley Davidson motorcycles. Why buy a new one? Let the yuppies do that, there's plenty of old ones to go around.

Better buy up those pre Cordoba, FMIC Guilds now before they start demanding collector level prices  ;)

It's all good Dave. I didn't think you were arguing either. Found this

It's a good feature and one that Leo championed at his last venture with G&L. The downfall was it's potential for making the necks susceptible to the dreaded ski jump when set ups were left to dunder headed owners or inept techs. Would rather have that type of set up than six bolts like the G&Ls have now. Nice hog P btw SD.

When I had Blizzard on vinyl, I don't recall the mix sounding so great either. A little like it was recorded in a dumpster under water. The 2011 re release CD sounded clearer but still maintained the aggressive rough feel. Randy was definitely cooking too, along with the whole band.

Great playing.
But I still think the bass on the entire album sounds hilarlously crappy ...   :-X
Blasphemy! The EB-3 is what made that album sound so classic in all it's grunty fuzzy hot and slightly overdriven glory.

Just because I love Beck playing the Esquire.

Grain and solid color together with a glossy top coat. What's not to love?

I'm tired of all advertising. Summer is around the corner and I think I'm going to ditch my cable tv service for a while. Someone had to remind me that Fiat owns Chrysler. Does this mean car chases in the movies are all going to start looking like this?
