Gibson Basses / Bye-bye 3-point, hello Supertone
« on: February 09, 2024, 12:13:35 PM »
I found a great deal on an unused Supertone (black of course), and I bought it, after all no matter what I've done to my Epi, the action is on the "brave" side...
The weird is the extreme bent on the original 3-point, I am not sure if this is how it suppose to be, looks bent.
Anyway, I am happy, the installation was super easy and the action gone way down.

Bass Amps & Effects / Peavey KB100 for bass
« on: May 21, 2018, 01:55:41 PM »
I have found a good deal for a used KB100 (80 euros), I know that's a keyboard amp, I need something to play at home, but I don't want to pay for a little box with a tinny 8" speaker, at least this thing has a 15" and it's a Peavey (built like a tank they say...). Has anyone any experience with those?

The Outpost Cafe / Family report

Well, there are some breaking news, we have a baby! :D

Alexandros (or just Alex) was born at 14.08, wife had a difficult time with pregnancy and we had to do a c-section, but she has recovered fast since then and everything is fine with the baby too.
Since he is our first child, naturally there's a lot of stress and we both struggle to get some sleep between feedings and shit-cleaning operations :P , but he is not so hard after all.
The pediatrist in hospital told me "don't be afraid, they don't break so easy" so I trust him (or was it some kind of german humor, can't really tell...).

Now I must teach him to stay away from that californian brand.......

Judge: First offender?
Woman: No, first a Gibson, then a Fender

The Bass Zone / Flats advice for my BachBird
« on: May 10, 2015, 07:22:08 AM »
I was thinking about trying flats on my BachBird, any thoughts?
I can find Fender 9050s for a good price. The problem is that I've read that 9050Ms are very high tension, and maybe it would be better to go to 9050MLs. Has anyone tried them?
