Other Bass Brands / NBD: Dingwall Lee Sklar

I rolled the dice and grabbed a red Sklar Dingwall.  Being Canadian it was kind of a bucket list thing to have a bass from one of the CDN builders (Fbass or Dingwall)...and I wanted to just have one bass that did everything I wanted it too now that everything is just about gone. 

It's quite an incredible instrument.  Sheldon thought of everything on this....all the tones in active or passive are fantastic, the B and E strings REALLY stand out compare to the standard 34" inch scale basses.  I'm not a tall lanky guy at all and have no issues at all playing the 37" scale.   The strap positions when standing up actually bring it closer.

The Bass Zone / Three new tracks

Well, finally got our three tracks done....bass was done waaay back in Sept 2013 not long after I joined the band.  Vocalist left and set us back a while.  These almost feel like covers now...LOL. 

Not 'officially released' yet, just a short run of three song EP CD's..

...I gave up a Thunderbird for a new MIA Geddy Lee jazz...this bass is incredible and I couldn't pass it up.  What a neck on this....feels like a custom shop bass.

Gang.....I've seen a lot of what looks to be reputable online Civil War dealers....specifically, I want a genuine 1840 style or 1860 style cavalry saber...does anyone here collect or have any recommendations (besides 'do your research', I'm doing quite a bit..)

I'm happy with the tone I'm getting with a nice simple setup!!  You may need some better computer speakers to really hear everything, laptop speaker was turd.
