Dingwall seems to have had some issues too. Apologies if someone else has posted about this. I couldn't see it in my skim of the 8 pages.

The good news is that all the performance features that made the D-bird such a standout will be carried over to the D-Roc, the only changes will be to the body profile and headstock. Hey guys! Anyone here have a Gibson Shortsale TBird? A friend is after some details for a build he is doing.
What is the neck width at the nut, neck width at the 12th, neck width at the treble end of the fretboard, neck thickness through at the nut, neck thickness through at the 12th?

Also is the neck a laminate like a full scale Gibson TBird?
Is it set neck or neck through?

CME just announced a limited run of custom color SG Standards, at no extra cost, and the Gibson bashers are already at it in the comments on Reverb. Not that Gibson didn't deserve bashing for Henry's disastrous last few years, they did, but that's over now; now the new Gibson is being trashed for offering a limited run. No pleasing some people. And there are the usual complaints about the price, even though the competition is that expensive or more.

Those SG Guitars are getting a bashing on a certain anti Gibson bass forum.

There is even now n importer and distributor for Australia- the prices seem to have gone up a bit. Oh well.

Which do you like better, the 335 or the Midtown?

The Ripper is the early bigger body model, but yes it does look big in the pic.
I like the sound of the ES 335 sound a little better. I can look at that Midtown all day long and it plays beautifully.

Hard to say.... I probably use the black Epi Vintage Pro TBird most at gigs. I love the sound of the Gibson TBird with Chinabuckers too.  I use the Les Pauls/ ES 335 and Midtown a fair bit as well. The Ripper is an old favourite.

Looks like a hint of a 3-point peeking out from a bridge cover, and the only place I've seen a 3-point with separate tailpiece was on Grecos like my IV. And now I notice there's no logo :)

Yes, it is a Greco. The previous owner sanded Greco off the TRC. I sprayed it gloss black.

Higher labour costs and more desirable headstock stickers have to be a big factors.
See how low US Gibsons have been blown out.
The Epi VP is essentially made the same way as a Gibson TBird except the finish.
Can't fault my Epi, but I can usually find a fault somewhere in my US Gibsons.
Just saying.

Hard to know whether yours were made by Grover or another company copying the Grover style to Gibson's specs, but there's no reason to think yours aren't the original tuners.

Thanks. I was confident- but it doesn't hurt to see another exactly the same. Mine's a 2014 stamped one as well.
