Title: Help needed: Angle neck/body Thunderbird
Post by: Basvarken on November 02, 2017, 12:51:06 PM
I don't have a Gibson Thunderbird (reverse) here at hand to measure the angle of the body and the neck. I only have my Greco as a reference...
Does any of you guys know?

I don't have one either but Sam Ash says it is 2 degrees.

I'm puzzled by the neckjoint area.
The body is under a 2 degree angle.
But the fretboard runs about five positions into the body
That must mean the area underneath the fretboard does not have that angle, right?

I made a little drawing of the neck blank to show you what I mean.

Can any of you guys confirm there is that little raised area underneath the end of the fretboard?
