...because I've been working on my damn Indian! Finished it, finally! I have about 1000 miles on it now, though I'm still working out bugs.
This is a great motorcycle and really, because I built it from a pile it is, and always will be, a great source of pride!

Congrats and great job.
There's a dude out my way who imports and rebuilds WWII era BMW bikes (with the sidecar and machine gun mount... just no gun... nor any Nazi regelia) and they look so dang cool in a similar way to your Indian. The main difference being the BMW boxer engine vs the more common V.

Thanks! I can't begin to tell you how much went into it. Completely new learning curve was involved here, in no small part due to how differently things were done back then.
I've seen a few of those BMWs and the similar Zundapp KS750s. I'd love to have one of the 2wd sidecar outfits but they've gotten really expensive over the past 10-15 years!

What happens when a brass spark plug nut falls into the rear spark plug hole. It's all gotta come apart. You can see it sitting under the rear exhaust valve.
When I was putting it back together, two of the head bolt holes stripped and I had to take it right back apart. :/

Ha! been there, done that. The first time i was lucky enough to fish it out silly grabber tool. The second time it was part of a TDC dial and it wedged in requiring head removal.
Very cool bike, hope you get to put on some serious miles.
