Title: Next time, remember to remove the O ring
Post by: Dave W on May 22, 2017, 05:47:16 PM
Calling the Pasco County Sheriff's Office for help leads to social media humiliation, woman says (http://www.tampabay.com/news/publicsafety/calling-the-pasco-county-sheriffs-office-for-help-leads-to-social-media/2324584)

Semenly, an unfortunate incident indeed. But then you would have never known what would have happened had the thermos blown.

I won't go into Dave's haphazard and dry-ice-hazy insinuation how removing (or not removing) an O ring (wherever) somehow has effects on fertility. Biology class in the 50ies was still very much of rudimentary nature, hardly his fault then.  8)

I dunno what 'O Ring' is slang for in German, but over here, let me assure you, it's got nothing to do with any sexual activity with even the remotest risk of resulting in pregnancy.

No double entendre intended. Dry ice expands. I assume that the tight seal with the O ring would have damaged the sperm even if it didn't cause an explosion.

Moral of the story: don't call the sheriff when you can just unscrew the cap.
